SHIPYARD IN QATAR

Acorn Powell Ltd is pleased to be involved in the development of the Nakilat Shipyard in Qatar

This major project will be completed over several years.

Acorn Powell is supplying many stainless steel fixtures and fittings including:

shower cubicles,

wc cubicles,

wash troughs

washroom fittings,

drinking fountains

etc.

KEY STATISTICS:

Site area: 43 hectares.

Dry docks: Two docks 400m long x 80m wide; 360m long x 66m wide

Floating dock:

230m long x 38 m wide, 20,000t lift capacity.

Quays: Six full length berths, totalling 2.4 kms in length.

Workshops: Full range of support facilities, such as machine shop, pipe shop, steel shop, stores.

Other: Offices, amenities, medical centre, fire station, facilities for ships’ crew, etc.
